I listened to John Glaser speak last month. He referenced a study showing zero correlation between a hospital's IT spend and results. Makes one question the efficacy of spending a few hundred million on EHR

Paul, thanks for commenting. I haven't reviewed that particular study though the results don't surprise me.

Why do you think there's zero correlation?

I'd attribute it to hospitals being relatively poor buyers, implementers and users of all things IT. And, of course, to a raft of vendors who like it that way.
