I'm not really sure how this applies to health care, but it's very "Portland" and cool on so many levels. From Springwise, here's a start-up business offering organic soups, sourced locally and delivered weekly, by bicycle of course. 10,000 soup orders since start-up, delivered to 300 subscribers.

A nice update of the tried-and-true "Meals On Wheels" concept, don't you think?

Michael Porter On Health Care Reform

Michael Porter, writing in the New England Journal of Medicine, proposes "A Strategy For Health Care Reform - Toward A Value-Based System." His proposals are fundamental, lucid and right-on, meaning they're sure to be opposed by some parties to the debate, the so-called "Yes, but..." crowd.
